Photo Protocol
A photo protocol for Epson site checks, showing which angles and floor details help before a demo, delivery or installation.
Photo angles needed before dispatch
Photo Protocol shows which site photos are useful before a demo, delivery or installation. Clear shots of access routes, floor area and service points make it easier to plan an Epson setup properly.
Photograph the full approach to the Epson install point before any unit is moved. Include door widths, passages, stairs, lifts, plug locations and the space where crates will be opened, especially for Gauteng offices with tight access and Cape Town sites in older buildings.
Add a set of machine record images once the printer is on site and before first use. Capture the serial label, exterior panels, media loading area and any marks on the chassis so delivery condition and setup status are documented from the start.
Records that support setup planning
A useful photo set shows more than the printer itself. It should identify the Epson model in question, the room layout, service points and the route consumables will take, giving the team a reference that can be matched to installation notes and later site visits.
When the site has unusual access or power arrangements, include those in the image sequence and note them alongside the photos. Pair the pictures with the relevant workflow note if media handling or RIP position also matters.
- Access route from entrance to install point
- Serial label and unpack condition recorded
- Power sockets and service points visible
Checks for Gauteng and Cape Town sites
Site photos need to reflect the actual working environment, not an empty corner cropped for appearance. Show windows, ventilation, nearby packing space and any obstacles around the Epson footprint so demo, delivery or installation planning is based on the room as it stands.
Cape Town humidity and sea air can affect how often equipment needs cleaning, while Highveld dust tends to gather around covers, vents and paper paths. Include these conditions in the image record where visible, and photograph any UPS units or power backup that may affect shutdown and restart procedures.
Operated by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd from 2 Makro Place, Sunnyrock 1401.
Image sequence for complete site records
Use the photo protocol to capture the install area, unpacked machine, serial labels, media path and any visible damage so the record is complete from day one.
Start with wide shots of the room, then move closer to access points, utility connections and the printer itself. Finish with media path details, unpacked components and any visible damage so the file can support handover, service logging and future checks on the same Epson unit.
